2 years ago, the Guardian wondered if a robot could win a Pullitzer - Now, this seems to have happened: The Stuttgarter Zeitung received the journalistic award of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation for their data journalism project “pollution radar” (“Feinstaubradar”). This project gives citizens hyperlocalized insights into their air quality in their direct neighborhood, and uses automatically generated news stories. Congratulations to our customer!
AX Semantics is on tour a lot this summer. Starting with the Pioneers.io in Vienna, where we managed to expand our investor and enterprise customer network, our roadshow did lead us to the Webit Festival in Sofia and to the Plug & Play Fintech days.
As part of our general research undertakings, we have participated in the Surfaze Realization Shared Task 2018, combining a task-specific neuronal net to define sentence order with our existing morphology component to solve the task. The presentations of the various approaches are held at the 56th Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics in Melbourne.
Our new software iteration “NEXT” (v3) has received its first testing rounds, and a selected group of users have started beta testing to provide feedback on our new concepts and UI.
